CANdat Micro Board |
Overview
The CANdat micro boards are the perfect solution for Data Acquisition, Control Systems, Factory Automation, Factory
Processes, and Management information requirements. It uses Distributed CAN bus network technology, which enables the
use of up to 110 devices on a single pair of twisted cable. The distances between a PC and the devices to be
monitored or controlled can be up to a maximum of 10km. The maximum speed of the CAN network is 1Mb/s at 40 meters and
drops to 5kb/s at 10km.
The boards have Inputs for Switches, Sensors, Micro-switches, PLC controllers, etc. The Outputs are capable of
driving Relays, Solenoids, Contactors, Lamps, etc. The Analog Inputs can measure Temperature, Pressure and Voltage.
The boards also incorporates a Real time clock to provide time stamping data.
Features & Benefits
- The CANdat boards as a small footprint due to the use of surface mount components on the PCB.
- Uses the Atmel Microprocessor, programmable in Assembler, C, or Basic.
- Has a header for an ISP (in system programming) cable.
- Enables rapid development of your application software with our proven CANdat hardware.
- All software tools for programming development are readily available.
- Very easy to develop different applications using the same base modules.
- The boards simply plug together using a standard 10-way IDC cable or a CAT5 cable via an adapter.
- Lowest system cost per Node and very easy to integrate into systems.
- Supply via a wall mounted AC power adapter of between 7V - 18V AC/DC.
- Header for a serial LCD display for local data information.
