Energy Management
We have considerable experience and expertise in energy monitoring and have developed the TARAS technology and method (patent 7,555,365) for acquisition and transmission of energy data. Our fundamental approach is to provide the ability to measure energy consumption at the point-of-use; relay the comprehensive data to a central processing and user-interface station using any communication method desired and provide the ability to reduce or switch off the load. TARAS is capable of measuring Kilowatts hour; Active Watts; Reactive Watts; Apparent Watts; Voltage; Current; Frequency and Power Factor.
Since TARAS is independent of the communication method and can be used with any of the available platforms such as PowerLine, WiFi, Zigbee etc., and additionally it is based on a standardized communication protocol, it delivers the benefit that hardware based on TARAS can be easily integrated into existing systems and networks. Furthermore the TARAS technology’s standardized communication protocol means that devices based on TARAS can communicate with each other allowing them to be connected in any combination to form systems that can be configured to fit all requirements.
TARAS provides an easy installation, low-cost solution for managing energy consumption to meet environmental standards such as LEEDS and appeal to eco-conscious customers. TARAS is compatible with digital metering and allows two-way communication directly with utility companies via digital meters or the Internet for the ultimate smart-grid system.

AKIDA's founders have expertise in System Engineering, Facilities Management and Construction. Our technical team has developed an expertise in gathering data at remote locations and routing it into existing computer networks. With the advent of the digital age, capital-intensive manufacturing and process control equipment require continuous monitoring of real time data including power consumption. Although our solutions are based on advanced technology, we take pride in paying attention to details to ensure simple installation and integration into existing systems.
