Energy Management
We have considerable experience and expertise in energy consumption monitoring and
have developed the TARAS technology and method (patent
7,555,365) for acquisition and transmission of energy consumption data.
TARAS provides an easy installation, low-cost solution for managing energy
consumption. TARAS is compatible with digital metering
and allows two-way communication directly with utility companies via digital meters
for the ultimate smart grid system.
A unique aspect of the TARAS technology is that additional
data from remote sensors such as thermostats can be channeled through the system
and the data readings can easily be viewed and analyzed via software which can also
allow automated sequences to be programmed into the system to manage energy consumption
making the system intelligent and fully functional to fit most operating requirements.
The TARAS technology is perfect for OEM’s who desire
to build energy monitoring into their electrical products. TARAS
allows two-way communication therefore the OEM will benefit from providing electrical
equipment that can be managed via any compatible energy management software system.
Akida’s Inngauge system based on our TARAS technology
offers the hospitality industry a feature-rich system specifically tailored to their
needs. Its innovative wireless technology provides a truly low-cost retrofit option
for existing facilities since it avoids expensive cabling and re-wiring.
Akida’s WattGauge system based on our TARAS technology
offers any commercial facility the ability for real-time and web-based management
of their energy consumption.
Our smart-grid load-control system is perfect for residences and light, commercial buildings
that need basic control of their power consumption to meet utility company peak
demand limit tiers. The system utilizes a base level implementation of our TARAS
technology and consists of a load control center that is capable of controlling
four electrical circuits.
Our CANdat micro boards are the perfect solution for Data Acquisition, Control Systems,
Factory Automation, Factory Processes, and Management information requirements.
It uses Distributed CAN bus network technology, which enables the use of up to 110
devices on a single pair of twisted cable. The distances between a PC and the devices
to be monitored or controlled can be up to a maximum of 10km. The maximum speed
of the CAN network is 1Mb/s at 40 meters and drops to 5kb/s at 10km.
