AKIDA's founders previously served as System Consultants and have developed an expertise in gathering data at remote locations and routing it into existing computer networks. With the advent of the digital age, capital-intensive manufacturing and process control equipment require continuous monitoring of real time data including power consumption.

Our vision is to create a standard for gathering electrical consumption information at the point of use and relaying commands back to the equipment to better manage its energy usage.

AKIDA’s mission is to become the market leader in producing cost-effective energy management systems. We will achieve this goal by incorporating the latest technological advances to develop state of the art systems for gathering and routing data. Our goal is to design systems for our customers that are easily installed with minimal cabling expense and flexible enough to accommodate future process and equipment changes.

Our hardware engineers have specialized experience in RF communications and energy data acquisition. They have developed the innovative TARAS technology for energy consumption monitoring and management, which was granted a patent (7,555,365) in June 2009. Our team has proven expertise in the design of digital metering systems and communication protocols for smart-grid systems. We are a leader in the development of energy management systems that are compatible with smart-grids and web-based interface. Our engineers also have experience in electric hybrid technology and battery management systems.
